I also would delete stuff I didn't like, to be sure I didn't have more mods than I needed (which I figured was the problem before.) It handled the all the mods I was downloading very well, but once I got to around 1,500 mods, it pretty much just gave up again. I put the mods in 50 at a time to make sure the game would start up and nothing was corrupted. Slowly downloading newer custom content but still going back to some old stuff to pick out the CC I really liked before. Since those three weeks ago, that's all I've been doing. But I didn't want to go through all my CC and see what the problem was, so I just scrapped all my mods and decided to start from scratch. I started up the game and it worked fine. I tried to repair, but when I realized it may be a CC problem, I got rid of all my CC. I started up my game with the 2,500 mods I had on and suddenly my game got stuck at the loading screen and wouldn't respond. But anyway, about three weeks ago, my Sims 4 game became very finicky with CC. Now, my CC problems started the day after I updated my game, but I just wanted to say I bought the other two packs in case that could also be a problem.

I bought and installed Jungle Adventure and My First Pet (which means I now own all packs) and I also updated my game with the May 24th update. I have a very good gaming computer and my computer was able to run all Sims expansion packs (except for Jungle Adventure and FIrst Pets), plus 2,500 mods along with it. And every single mod has worked for me perfectly thus far. I know it's a lot, but it explains things very well! PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE ANSWERING.
